Jil Sander’s collaboration with Thonet marks her first foray into the world of furniture design. With the JS . THONET signature collection, she has taken the most famous tubular steel classics from the late 1920s and put her own stamp on them. For the NORDIC line, the S 64 cantilever chair, the S 1070 table, the S 411 armchair and the B 97 sidetables have been given a frame with a warm, matt nickel silver finish. The wooden elements are white pigmented oak. The chairs’ seat and backrest are upholstered in leather in either light caramel, burnt walnut or alabaster white. The S 64 is also available in a version with a light-coloured canework seat and backrest. For the NORDIC line, the B 97 sidetables have been given a matt marble tabletop in glacier. These luxurious reinterpretations have been created using a holistic approach, underscoring the exceptional design of the original designs while sensitively elevating every last detail. As an exclusive detail, all of the products in the JS .
