Inspired by our passion for natural stones, ceramics, and scents, we have once again collaborated with a talented local ceramics artist Ephelis, who is based between Hong Kong and London, to create our second Calming Stone series for this Christmas.
This new collection showcases a thoughtfully crafted lower, wider shape that not only accommodates ash but is also designed to be stackable.
Inspired by rock stacking, a therapeutic, ancient art form that is often seen in practices such as Zen gardens or mindfulness exercises, it serves as a gentle reminder of the importance of balance — both in the physical structure of the stones and in one’s mental state — cultivating a greater sense of peace and clarity in one’s life.
The tactile experience of holding stones — feeling their weight, texture, and temperature — connects individuals to the physical world, grounding them in their surroundings. Each Calming Stone is meticulously handcrafted to fit comfortably in the palm of one’s hand, inviting one to hold, feel, and be fully present in the moment.
Engaging in this art form encourages one to slow down and focus on the present moment, fostering a sense of mindfulness that can be profoundly calming.
Available in fresh colours: Sage Green in Shigaraki Clay, Oak Beige and Dark Brown in Terracotta Clay and White in Granite Clay.
