The Repulse Bay Residence by Norm Architects, is envisioned as a living gallery that continuously evolve and adapt to a variety of everyday needs.

Nestled along Hong Kong’s southern coastline, the residence harmoniously blends natural inspiration with sophisticated design. Throughout the home, views and artworks are thoughtfully highlighted and framed by the architecture, bringing a sense of functional gallery showcase to the atmosphere of the home.

Inspired by the surrounding nature, the interior palette embraces subtle, earthy tones and materials that seamlessly integrate with the untouched beauty just beyond its windows. Soft hues blend throughout the space, while natural materials such as stone, wood and Dolomite Plaster in neutral beige shade from St Leo are used extensively on walls and ceiling, creating a tactile and organic ambiance. The project also features our Audo’s Harbour and Co Chairs upholstered in beige cotton-linen fabric, and sculptural objects from Norm’s very own design, Kristina Dam Studio and Shizu Designs with a Japanese zen aesthetic.

At the core of the design concept lies a commitment to genuine materiality that engages the senses. All surfaces and textures are thoughtfully selected to create a space that not only captivates the eyes but also resonates with the sense of touch.

Norm Architects has worked with a contrasting palette of natural materials that evolves throughout the space, integrating in soft gradients. The approach ensures that each room is unique and rich with textures, creating an immersive environment. The result is a living space that feels both elegant and grounded, offering a seamless transition between the interior and the breath-taking natural scenery.
